From March 12 to 15, Royal Jaarbeurs will open its doors for TechniShow 2024. This trade show is all about innovative, smart and sustainable solutions. With the theme 'The Manufacturing Industry of Tomorrow', hundreds of exhibitors will be packing large-scale machines and demonstrations to show their innovations, new techniques and solutions. During TechniShow, a real factory will be set up for the first time at the Production Automation Theme Square. TechniShow takes place simultaneously with the trade fair ESEF Maakindustrie.
TechniShow opens on Tuesday, March 12 with, among others, the following speakers: Willem Wensing (Manager Partnerships FME), Mark Helder (chairman Koninklijke Metaalunie), David Kemps (Sector Banker Industry, ABN-Amro) and two Captains of Industry. Eddo Cammeraat, president of trade association FPT-VIMAG (owner of TechniShow). "TechniShow is the event where tomorrow's Manufacturing Industry is in the spotlight. An integrated, innovative future where exhibitors and visitors meet. We offer a platform for inspiration, collaboration and growth. Together we can address the challenges of the manufacturing industry and shape a promising future."
Production Automation Theme Square: unique working factory on the exhibition floor
Nine different parties from production technology set up a real integrated production automation. Visitors can experience all the steps of a modern production environment at this so-called Production Automation Theme Square. At the end of the "factory tour," a live-made product is actually waiting. Elise de Koning, spokesperson for the Production Automation Theme Square: "The basic steps are robotization, automation, digitization and logistics integration. "The partners participating all complete a step. To my knowledge, it is unique. Not only that there is a real factory at a trade show, but also that competitors are cooperating with each other. And we all think that in a modern manufacturing environment you have to cooperate precisely. A square like this doesn't come about if you don't see the bigger story. You have to transcend your own interests; it's the same in business."
TechniShow Innovation Award 2024: innovations in the manufacturing industry
TechniShow 2024 offers a broad and varied program. Exhibitors will showcase their innovations, whether it be advanced technology, sustainable processes or efficient production methods. FPT-VIMAG will announce the winner of the TechniShow Innovation Award during the trade fair. This is all about innovation in the manufacturing industry. Eddo Cammeraat: "The manufacturing industry continues to grow thanks to the incredible flexibility of both large and small companies. They are the backbone of our industry, allowing us to continue to produce efficiently and affordably and to develop new innovations."
Hundreds of rotating machines and demonstrations
Visitors will enjoy numerous rotating demonstrations during TechniShow, showing the latest technologies and machines in action. Exhibitor Dormac CNC Solutions said, "We will show and demonstrate an extensive lineup of machines, each with their own qualities. The DN Solutions NHP 5000 + RPS 5000 will be one of our largest machines on display at TechniShow. This one is 11 meters long, 5 meters wide and 3 meters high and we will show a running demo on it. In addition, we will show some more standalone cobot systems from Doosan Robotics for production automation." Jasper de Vreugt of ECI Software Solutions is also looking forward to participating in TechniShow 2024: "We will present our unique 360-degree Virtual Experience, a first in the Netherlands. This innovative experience will help entrepreneurs focus on the future." Nancy van Dorth, marketing Hoffman Group: "At the TechniShow, you will discover the next step for your industrial workplace. Hoffmann Group will take you through process optimization, efficiency and cost savings."
Theme Square Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (3D printing) is one of the main themes at this coming edition. At the so-called theme square Additive Manufacturing, visitors will see the entire 3D process. Ricardo Vivas, exhibition manager TechniShow of Royal Jaarbeurs: "3D printing is becoming more and more part of the whole manufacturing process. At the theme square, exhibitors will show various innovations in this area. However, AM parts almost always need post-processing. This is an essential part of the AM process. Visitors will find the machines and technology for this elsewhere at TechniShow."
Innovations from talented student teams
Within the trade show, the focus is on recruiting and retaining talent. Several student teams are showcasing their innovations. For example, TU Delft students from the FORZE HYDROGEN RACING Team are demonstrating a hydrogen racing car. They show what is possible with hydrogen in motor sports and transportation, among other things. Another TU Delft student team, Project MARCH, presents a motorized suit that allows people with paraplegia to stand and walk again. This year TechniShow also offers the Start up street and the Scale up square with companies such as Damen-IT (Digital Workmate) and Techpillar.
