Utrecht, March 19, 2024 - Royal Jaarbeurs's TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie trade shows concluded very successfully. TechniShow had 29,337 visitors and ESEF Maakindustrie 12,646 visitors. This makes the trade shows together the largest platform in the Benelux in the field of industrial production technology, processing and machining of metals, plastics, accessories and tools. Ricardo Vivas, exhibition manager: "It was buzzing on the exhibition floor. The interest in new solutions and techniques was enormous. Many machines were also sold and orders signed. The Netherlands leads the way in the manufacturing industry because we are agile, but also because we are open to new techniques."

Forward-thinking entrepreneurs take full advantage of opportunities
TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie were all about innovative, smart and sustainable solutions. With the theme 'The Manufacturing Industry of Tomorrow', over 276 exhibitors at TechniShow and 155 exhibitors at ESEF Maakindustrie packed the show with machines and demonstrations to show their innovations, new techniques and solutions. Ricardo Vivas: "I see that the Dutch manufacturing industry is reorienting itself. After years of very high volumes of production, there comes a time to look: what next? Entrepreneurs are open to innovation, are progressive and see plenty of opportunities. That eagerness of our entrepreneurs in the industry is extraordinary."

Clubhouse of the manufacturing industry
Exhibitors also look back with satisfaction. Hendrik Meijer, director Meijer Group: "Participation in the ESEF Maakindustrie again provided valuable leads. Existing customers now take their engineers to the fair, which provided valuable conversations about the production process. We look back on a successful edition." TechniShow was also a valuable edition for exhibitor Hugo Oude Reimer. "When you see how many innovations and machines are here and how many people come by here, you notice that the need of visitors is great to see the manufacturing industry. You are simply in the clubhouse of the manufacturing industry here. This concept is a harbinger for 2026."

From women in the manufacturing industry to a real factory
TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie jointly provide a stage where business, research, education and government meet, for demonstrations, innovations and networking moments. One of the highlights of TechniShow was the unique working factory that was shown for the first time on the exhibition floor where nine different parties set up a true integrated production automation. The Additive Manufacturing theme square was also well attended where visitors could see the entire 3D process. The enthusiasm for the session on 'Women in manufacturing' was high. Ricardo Vivas: "Women are playing a growing role in the manufacturing industry. They hold managerial positions, do engineering work and are involved in advanced technological developments. So very important to give these women a stage on the show floor."

The next TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie will take place from Tuesday, March 10 to Friday, March 13, 2026 at Royal Jaarbeurs.
