From March 12 to 15, Royal Jaarbeurs will open its doors for TechniShow 2024. This trade show is all about innovative solutions and collaborations. With the theme 'The Manufacturing Industry of Tomorrow', hundreds of exhibitors will show their innovations, new techniques and solutions. One of the main themes is Additive Manufacturing, of course the latest technologies and innovations within the fields of Sheet Metal Processing, Automation and Machining will also be on display. TechniShow takes place simultaneously with the trade fair ESEF Maakindustrie.
Innovations within theme Additive Manufacturering
TechniShow 2024 offers a broad and varied program. Additive manufacturing (3D printing) is one of the main themes at this coming edition. At the so-called theme square Additive Manufacturing, visitors will see the entire 3D process. Ricardo Vivas, TechniShow exhibition manager: "3D printing is increasingly becoming part of the whole manufacturing process. At the theme plaza, exhibitors show various innovations in this area. However, AM parts almost always need post-processing. This is an essential part of the AM process. Visitors will find the machines and technology for this elsewhere at TechniShow."
The latest 3D innovations:
- One Click Metal's 3D metal printer, in terms of ease of operation and investment, is geared toward the SME fabricator.
- The latest Tempus technology for the RenAM 500 laser powder bed AM machine: exhibitor Renishaw introduces visitors to the latest technology that cuts printing time in half.
- Exhibitor Makerpoint will show SLS printing with the Formlabs Fuse 1 that allows machine builders to print functional parts and keep their supply chain short. Visitors at Makerpoint will also learn about the FDM printer for Ultem, PEKK, PEEK and other plastics.
- Exhibitor Leering inspires visitors with post processing of 3D printed parts, both for metal and plastic parts.
- Multi-3D Print supplies the Intamsys industrial high-temperature 3D printers, among others, as used by the Royal Navy, among others
Innovations from talented student teams
Within the trade show, the focus is on recruiting and retaining talent. Several student teams are showcasing their innovations. For example, students from TU Delft of the Forze Hydrogen Racing Team demonstrate a hydrogen racing car. They show what is possible with hydrogen in motor sports and transport, among other things. Another TU Delft student team, Project MARCH, presents a motorized suit that allows people with spinal cord injury to stand and walk again. This year TechniShow also offers the Start up street and the Scale up square with companies such as Damen-IT (Digital Workmate) and Techpillar.
Theme tours
Ricardo Vivas: "In addition to Additive Manufacturing, on the exhibition floor we also offer the latest technologies and innovations within the fields of Sheet Metal Processing, Automation and Machining. Led by experts within the fields, there will be theme tours of the exhibition floor on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. We advise visitors to register early for the theme tours."
