From March 10 to 13, 2026 | Jaarbeurs, Utrecht

Activities

TechniShow 2024 had a broad content program. There were various pavilions, squares and streets, there were knowledge sessions in the theaters and you could take part in one of the guided tours on the exhibition floor.

Below you will find an overview of the activities during TechniShow 2024.

The official opening

The official opening of TechniShow was on Tuesday, March 12 from 12:00 – 12:30 with leading experts from various sectors and companies. The speakers were Willem Wensing (Manager Partnerships FME), Mark Helder (chairman of the Koninklijke Metaalunie), David Kemps (Sector Specialist Industry at ABN AMRO) and Eddo Cammeraat (chairman of the trade association FPT-VIMAG). In addition, two captains of industry spoke: Jan Aalberts from Aalberts Industries and Geert Ketelaars from Andra Tech Group. All this was led by branch manager FPT-VIMAG/NEVAT Ires Veerman.

Guided tours

For those who wanted to delve deeper into specific topics, various guided theme tours were organized. These expert-led tours led visitors through the show floor and provided insights into the latest technologies and innovations within various fields.

Additive Manufacturing theme square

3D printing was one of the main themes in 2024. On one large Additive Manufacturing theme square in hall 11 you not only saw inspiring applications and business cases, but also the entire process. After all, 3D printing is not a stand-alone solution but part of the entire manufacturing process. Post-processing, with the machines and technology that were elsewhere at the fair, is an essential part of the AM process.

Production Automation theme square

A unique event at a fair: during TechniShow, exhibitors set up a real factory. Nine different production technology parties are setting up integrated production automation. The visitor experienced all the steps of a modern production environment at the Production Automation Theme Square in Hall 10. At the end of the ‘factory tour’, visitors actually saw a product made live.

Career / Start-up street

The Start-up Street was the perfect place to get acquainted with start-ups and scale-ups and their groundbreaking ideas and innovations. In addition, on the Loopbaanstraat (the same street) you found parties where doors opened and opportunities were created. Whether you were starting your career or wanted to experience a breath of fresh air in a new sector, this was the place where your future began.

Industry association square

Here, members of trade associations came together to exchange knowledge and share insights. It offered you the opportunity to get in touch with representatives from various sectors. The official opening of TechniShow and the Award Show took place in the theater adjacent to the Trade Association Square.

Hydrogen racing car TU Delft

The hydrogen racing car of the Forze Hydrogen Racing Team, built by several generations of students from TU Delft, could be admired at TechniShow 2024 (with a few team members).

Project MARCH

Project MARCH is a student team from TU Delft that uses an exoskeleton, or a motorized suit, to help people with spinal cord injuries get up and walk again. Project MARCH was present at TechniShow to show the self-balancing model, which was developed last year.

Innovation Award

During TechniShow 2024, three nominated exhibitors had a chance to win the Innovation Award. The presentation of this award was on Thursday, March 14 at 3:30 PM at the Theater next to the Brancheverenigingplein (hall 11). The professional jury received the nominees on stage and the eventual winner was announced.

TechniShow & ESEF Maakindustrie

The strength of the combination of TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie was that it brought ‘make’ and ‘buy’ under one roof. Hundreds of exhibitors at TechniShow and ESEF Maakindustrie showed how the manufacturing industry was further innovating.

BLMC Chain Theater (ESEF Manufacturing Industry)

BLMC invited experts to the Ketentheater at ESEF Maakindustrie who showed how you could make your production company more efficient, profitable and successful. We discussed themes such as productivity improvement, stock optimization, chain collaboration and the design of your production network. There were interesting practical cases and contributions from expert knowledge partners.

TechniShow Talks

This year you attended a live broadcast of TechniShow Talks from the exhibition floor. In the theater next to the trade association square, editor-in-chief Henk van Beek presented two shows on current themes. Together with three guests, he discussed all the ins and outs about personnel shortages in the manufacturing industry and innovations within production automation.

Hyundai i20 WRC rally car i20 by Dymato

This year, Dymato opted for a completely new format at TechniShow 2024: without machines. “We focused much more on our total solution for the customer process. That is a different solution for every customer,” says Werner Meijer, director of Dymato for several months. The supplier of CNC machines from Röders, Hyundai-Wia and Mitsubishi, among others, placed a crowd-puller on the stand: the Hyundai i20 WRC rally car i20 with an engine that delivered no less than 350 hp.
